Our Morning Worship service on Sunday 17 January 2021 was on the theme of the Calling of Philip and Nathanael, with Rev David Payne and Rev Anna Garvie – with the hymns and other music provided by St Martins in the Field and the Royal School of Church Music.
Our Morning Worship service on 10 January 2021 was led by Liz Coulson with an address by Reader Gillian Kern. The theme was the Baptism of Christ. Alice Butler read from the Gospel according to Mark and music was from Kevin Butler Ltd and Small Church Music.
Our Morning Worship service for the Feast of the Epiphany is led by Rev David Payne with the bible reading by Martyn Gates. It was recorded at St John the Baptist, Flitton. You are welcome to watch the service at any time, but the suggested worship time for our Virtual Congregation is 10am on Sunday 3 January 2021.
Rev David Payne leads our service for the 1st Sunday of Christmas with Linda Brown reading from the Bible. You are welcome to watch the service at any time, but if you wish to join with our Virtual Congregation the suggested worship time is 6pm on Sunday 27 December.
Our Reflection for Christmas Eve is a chance to pause, draw breath and set aside a few moments to make ready within to welcome Christmas Day and the coming of Jesus. The service last for just over 15 minutes and contains a beautiful solo of Silent Night by Maggie Jeeves.

Christingles are festive celebrations that take place in our communities every year. They get their name from the object lit during the ceremony – oranges decorated with red tape, sweets or dried fruit and a candle. Jo Payne will show you how to make your own Christingle Watch with us ‘It Begins in Bethlehem – A Nativity Rhyme for Christmastime’ – written and voiced by Bob Hartman with illustrations by Mark Beech.
Rev David Payne led our service of Morning Worship for the 2nd Sunday of Advent in 2020. Gillian Chapple read from the Bible and Maggie Jeeves led the intercessions.
We pray for all those involved in the shaping of young lives.
We give God thanks for the sacrifice and commitment of teachers and all those involved in serving children and young people in education.
We pray that all might be nurtured and cared for and that every needful resource would be made available – that all lives can flourish even in these difficult times and that no-one would be overlooked.
We lift to God those we hold in our hearts – praying for their health, their well-being and their sense of hope.
We pray that even when loved ones cannot physically be together they would not feel apart.
We ask for God’s help in our communicating, our connecting and our caring.
