Welcome to St James the Great, Silsoe
part of the Benefice of Flitton, Pulloxhill & Silsoe
in Central Bedfordshire - part of the Diocese of St Albans.
There’s been a Christian Church on the same site in Silsoe since the Middle Ages – our current Church, building of which began in 1829, has the same footprint as a chapel which was on the site in 1350.
We have a variety of regular services through the year – Communion, Morning Worship, Family Services and All Age Services – as well as special services such as Remembrance, Mothering Sunday, a Pet Service and a wide variety of Christmas Services. We also have regular Messy Church services which are rotated around the 3 churches in our Benefice.
You can find details of all the services we have around the Benefice each week here
You are very welcome to join us at any of the services in our Church and around the Benefice – we look forward to meeting you.
Through the year, we organise a number of social events – as do our churches in Flitton & Pulloxshill. These events are open to everybody – not just regular church goers, so please do come along if there’s something of interest to you and your family.
You can see more about forthcoming events in Silsoe by clicking on the links below or the Events & News tab in the menu on the right. Plus you can find full details of all our Benefice Events here
