Our Welcoming the Light service was led by Rev David Payne and recorded in the evening at St James the Great, Silsoe on 20 December 2020.
Carols were sung by Jo Holt, Maggie Jeeves, Liz Knowles and Simon Stranks
Readings were by Michael Olney, Maggie Jeeves and Simon Stranks.
Jo Payne played Silent Night on the cello.
Other carol music was provided by Kevin Mayhew Ltd and Simon Stranks.

At the end of the service a presentation was made to Michael Olney, who recently retired as Churchwarden of Silsoe Church after 20 years. If you would like to watch a video of the presentation you will find it here
In the light of current conditions, the Carols by Torchlight service which was due to take place at Flitton Churchyard on 20 December was reluctantly cancelled. Flitton PCC did, however, record a carol service and you will find it here
