Come along to the Photography Exhibition on 11 October when all the entries will be on show in Silsoe Church & the winners will be announced & trophies presented. You’ll also have the chance to vote in the ‘People’s Choice’ at the Exhibition with a medal for the most popular photograph
Silsoe Photography Competition 2025
Closing date: 6pm 30 September 2025
The theme for this year’s Competition is
JOURNEYS
There are two classes:
17 & under ………18 & over
Phone or camera – it doesn’t matter which – just get snapping!
The photos can be taken anywhere – they don’t need to be taken in Silsoe.
No printer? Not a problem, drop in printing sessions at Silsoe Church on Wednesday 24 Sept 5 – 7pm, Sunday 28 Sept 5 – 7pm and Tuesday 30 Sept 4-6pm.

Messy Sunday
A lively fun and creative time together for families, children and people of all ages.
Songs, stories, puppets & crafts and supper.
We have Messy Sunday once a month – taking it in turns around our 3 Parishes in Flitton, Pulloxhill and Silsoe.

Jill Liddle retires as Silsoe Churchwarden
On Sunday 11 April 2025, Jill Liddle stepped down as one of the Silsoe Churchwardens.
Jill became Churchwarden in 2008 and has served continuously since that date. Thanking her for service and hard work, Rev Simon presented Jill with 4 engraved wine glasses, a bouquet of flowers and a £250 gift voucher from the congregation.
Although Jill retires as Churchwarden she is remaining a member of Silsoe PCC.

Contemporary Worship
Join us in Silsoe Church for our ‘Reflect and Connect’ service – an opportunity to share a relaxed hour exploring an important aspect of life – belief and faith. Songs led by our band, reflection, personal stories, prayer and refreshments.
All are welcome to join us at our evening services.
The group are keen for others to join them, any instruments or singers are welcome. You don’t need to be a professional musician, just someone of a reasonable standard with enthusiasm for making uplifting and upbeat music. Pimms and Praise – Sunday 17th August, 6pm, Silsoe.
Come and enjoy singing favourite songs/hymns, and enjoying a glass of Pimms. This is a holiday time ‘Reflect and Connect’ service. If you’d like to choose a song, please contact Revs Louise/Simon/Olivia or any of the Worship Group. If you can say a few brief words about why the song is
chosen, that would be great.

Midweek Morning Worship – once a month on a Thursday.
We have a monthly midweek Morning Worship service in Silsoe Church.
Starting at 11am with coffee, this is followed by a short service of Morning Worship at 11:30am, after which there is a light lunch at 12 noon. Lead by Reader Gillian Kern and Lay Leader of Worship Maggie Jeeves, everyone is welcome to share in good conversation, worship and refreshments.
