Ways to support Silsoe Church
You can help support our Church by giving of your:
TIME TALENT TREASURE
Time
We have a very small rota of people who keep the Church clean and the brasses polished. If you can spare a small amount of time to help with keeping our Church clean and polished, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact: Simon Stranks 07484 818418
simon.stranks@3churches.uk
As part of our mission of “welcome” we offer refreshments after every service. Again, this depends on a small rota of people. If you could help with refreshments please contact Maggie Jeeves weddings@3churches.uk
Thank you
Talent
Do you have a ‘Talent’ which could be used to help the Church?
Maybe you’re a flower arranger and could help out with flowers for the Church. If you would like to help with the floral decorations in the Church, either on a regular basis or at festivals such as Christmas or Easter, please contact: Ann Swain 01525 861107
Or a baker who could make a cake or two for social events?
There’s a lot of administrative work that goes on behind the scenes to keep the Church and the Benefice functioning, so maybe you could spare some time to help with that side of things – either on a regular basis or if we are organising an event.
If you think you have a talent that would help in one way or another, please contact one of the PCC Members or the Vicars.
Treasure
If you put money into the Plate at a service, please consider using a Gift Aid envelope. If you are able to complete a Gift Aid Declaration as this will enable our Treasurer to claim a further 25% of the your donation from the Government. One-off Gift Aid envelopes are available in each pew, but please consider completing a Gift Aid Declaration form, which will cover all future gifts from you. We can also supply you with a box of envelopes which use a Gift Aid ID number to save you having to complete the Gift Aid declaration each time you use an envelope – you just write your ID number on. We are happy to provide you with a box of envelopes, even if you do not come to Church every week.
If you wish to make regular donations to the Church, please complete a standing order form or set up a standing order via online banking. Details of the PCC’s bank account can be found on the standing order form.
To download either of these forms, please click on the appropriate button below:
The standing order form has the Church’s bank account number and sort code on it, which you could use if you wish to set up something through your personal online banking facility.
We have also set up a facility allowing you to make a donation online using a debit or credit card. Please click on the button below if you would like to make an online donation – this will open up a new window. Or scan the QR code.

Giving by card to support Silsoe PCC

You will be able to select an amount that you would like to give from the options on screen, or enter your own amount

If you are a UK tax payer and would like to Gift Aid your donation, you can do this online if your donation is over £30 or by completing a Gift Aid form, which you can find above the hymn books at the back of the Church.
Thank you for your generous donation.

Did you know?
In 2023, it cost us £920 a week to keep the Church and Churchyard running
BUT
we only collected £719 a week
We have to pay all the costs of keeping the Church and Churchyard open and maintaining them.
We do not receive any money from the Church of England.
We share the costs of our Vicars’ salaries, pensions, etc between the Churches of Silsoe, Flitton and Pulloxhill
