Send a Gift-Filled Shoebox in Jesus’ Name

Each year, the international relief and development organisation The Samaritan’s Purse distributes gift-filled shoeboxes around the world to children in need.

Since 1993, more than 208 million children in over 160 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child.

Duncan Robb (07957 488456) and Anne Stiles (01582 881288) at Pulloxhill Church are co-ordinating the collection of Shoeboxes around the Benefice and can provide information on what to include (and what not to include).

Filled boxes are needed before 2 November 2025.

Open the Book

Open the Book – Can you help?

In association with the Bible Society, Open the Book is an exciting storytelling project where Bible stories are shared with children in a way that is fun, interactive and memorable. We are hoping to put together a storytelling team, who will go into Greenfield and Silsoe schools once a month to present a 10-15 minute scripted bible story.

Don’t worry, no learning of lines needed! To register your interest, or find out more  details, please email Jo Holt jo_holt@sky.com
