What Makes a Good Mother? – Mothering Sunday 2021

Mothering Sunday

Our All Age Worship Service for Mothering Sunday is based on the theme ‘What Makes a Good Mother?’

Reverend David Payne and Lay Leader of Worship Maggie Jeeves lead the service, there’s hymns to sing a long with, a dramatised reading of ‘And God created mothers’ by Irma Bombeck – ‘A Fault in the Design?’ and an interview with a new Mum as well as young Niamh reading from the Bible.

At the end of the service, you’ll find a collage of mothers & children featured in the service plus details of our planned services in the run up to Easter.

Click on the buttons below to see the Order of Service and to watch the service on YouTube – each will open in a new window.

You are welcome to watch the service at any time but the suggested worship time for our Virtual Congregation is 10am on Sunday 14 March.

We’ve got some downloadable pdfs for the younger members of our congregation – a Mother’s Day card to colour in and a ‘Recipe for My Mum’ to create with pictures and words to cut out and add to the recipe – along with your own words and pictures. Click on the pictures below to get downloadable versions.  (If you don’t have access to a printer and would like a pack, please email VirtualVicar@3churches.uk)
