Silsoe Photography Competition 2025 – The Winners.
Congratulations to Clare N, winner of the 18 & over class in this year’s Silsoe Photography Competition with her striking image Into the Storm.
Well done also to 15 year old Henry A, whose photograph Journey’s End: The Rainbow Bridge took first place in the 17 & under category.
Clare’s success didn’t end there — she also won the People’s Choice award at the Exhibition with her photo Home to Roost.
At Flitton, there will also be a display of lilies, each one in memory of a loved ones. The names will be read out at the service. A donation of £5 for each lily is asked for. If you would like to make a donation for a lily and a candle lit in their memory, please contact Margaret Butt.
2 November 2025 – Remember with Love
We have Remember with Love services at Pulloxhill (11am), at Silsoe (3pm) and at Flitton (5pm) on 2 November 2025.
This is an opportunity to remember loved ones who died recently or long ago, to give thanks for their lives and to light a candle for them.
There is no need to give names of loved ones in advance if you are coming on the day, as you will be able to give their names then. However, if you would like the name of a loved one(s) read in the service and you will not be there, you are welcome to give the names in advance by phoning 01525 643478 and leaving a message for the vicars.

31 October 2025 – Flitton Church – 5:30 – 7 pm, Lights on in the Church …
… to shine in the darkness. Sweets, treats and booklets available.
These are FREE drop-in events for families and children
Everyone is welcome
12 October 2025 – Silsoe 4pm – Hope for Rural Churches
A special service to celebrate, pray for, and resource the rural church.
Please join us for refreshments from 3:30pm
Saturday 4 October – Silsoe Harvest Supper
From 6pm in Silsoe Village Hall
Hot Supper and Dessert
Tickets £12.50 or £6 for the under 12s

Come along to the Photography Exhibition on 11/12 October when all the entries will be on show in Silsoe Church & the winners will be announced & trophies presented. You’ll also have the chance to vote in the ‘People’s Choice’ at the Exhibition with a medal for the most popular photograph + we have FREE workshops at on how to get the best from your phone camera – more details here

There are two classes:
17 & under ………18 & over
Phone or camera – it doesn’t matter which – just get snapping!
The photos can be taken anywhere – they don’t need to be taken in Silsoe.
No printer? Not a problem, drop in printing sessions at Silsoe Church on Wednesday 24 Sept 5 – 7pm, Sunday 28 Sept 3 – 5pm and Tuesday 30 Sept 4-6pm.
