30th October 2026 – My Flitwick Family in WWI – A talk by Margaret Butt
On Friday 30th October at 7:30pm in Flitton Church Hall, Margaret Butt will be giving an illustrated talk about her paternal grandparents and their families in the years leading up to, and after World War 1 – old pictures of Flitwick, where and how they lived, tragedies, the story of Flitwick as a centre of early flight, the RFC, the amazing postal service in the war, rationing, stories from the Front and lots more. A talk for anyone interested in family history, local history and war history.
