Making sure you receive emails from us

Sometimes our emails can accidentally end up in your Spam or Junk folder. To help prevent this, you can tell your email programme that messages from us are safe by whitelisting our email domain 3churches.uk

This means your email provider should trust any email that comes from us, rather than blocking or hiding it.

You can download a copy of these instructions here

A Quick Note Before You Start

We have put together the guidance below to help you whitelist a domain in a range of common email programmes. We hope you find it helpful.

However, email programmes change regularly and we do not have access to every system to test these instructions. For that reason, we cannot guarantee that these steps will work in every case, but they should work for most people.

If you are unsure at any point, it is perfectly fine to ask a friend, family member, or IT support person for help.

Gmail (Google Mail)

Gmail uses something called “filters” instead of a whitelist.

Open Gmail.
Click the Settings icon (the small cog in the top right)
Choose See all settings
Click Filters and Blocked Addresses
Select Create a new filter
In the From box, type: @3churches.uk
Click Create filter
Tick Never send it to Spam
Click Create filter again

Outlook (Desktop Computer)

Open Outlook
Click Home, then Junk, then Junk Email Options
Select the Safe Senders tab
Click Add
Type: @3churches.uk
Click OK, then Apply

Outlook.com / Hotmail (Web Email)

Sign in to your email
Click Settings (the cog icon), then View all Outlook settings
Go to Mail, then Junk email
Under Safe senders and domains, click Add
Enter: 3churches.uk
Press Enter, then click Save

Apple Mail (Mac)

Apple Mail uses “rules” instead of a whitelist.

Open Mail
Click Mail, then Settings (or Preferences)
Choose Rules, then Add Rule
Set the rule to say:

If: From → Ends with → @3churches.uk
Then: Mark as Not Junk

Click OK

iCloud Mail (Web)

Go to icloud.com and open Mail
Click the Settings icon, then Rules
Click Add a Rule
Set:

If a message is from → Ends with → @3churches.uk
Then → Move to Inbox

Click Done

Yahoo Mail

Sign in to Yahoo Mail
Click Settings, then More Settings
Choose Filters, then Add new filter
Give the filter a name (for example, “Trusted emails”)
Under From, choose Contains and type: @3churches.uk
Choose Inbox
Click Save

Mozilla Thunderbird

Open Thunderbird
Click Tools, then Message Filters
Choose your email account and click New
Set:

From → ends with → @3churches.uk

Choose an action such as Mark as Not Junk or Move to Inbox
Click OK

One simple alternative (often the easiest)

If you find one of our emails in your Spam or Junk folder:

Open the email
Click Not Spam or Not Junk
Add the sender to your Contacts or Address Book

This often helps your email provider learn that our emails are safe.
